VNC is view only

I have my Remote Desktop configured and can establish a vnc connection from another ubuntu desktop no problems. But I can only establish a view only connection.

I do not have view only checked on server or client.

Any thoughts on anything else that might be restricting this to a view only session?

Try disabling desktop effents i.e set it to none on the computer you are trying to access - worked for me anyway,
