Hi there! would anyone be able to help me with this little problem im having? I tried following the advice on the lxfdvd but was trying to install a .deb file using dpkg -i when im trying install wvdial-1.6.tar.gz.I tryed to copy the file from the dvd and have it in my home folder where documents,downloads and pictures etc are.Firstly would someone know if that part is correct and if so once in the terminal what command do i use to install the file.I car`nt install it in the usual way using synaptic as im trying to configure my 3g dongle so cannot connect to the internet with linux.thanks everyone!ps...Im using both ubuntu 10.04 and linux mint 9 and obviosly have the same problem with both.Cheers!
