To those celebrating the Independence day of the USA, have a happy, and safe, 4th of July. And, take a moment to reflect the reason for the season.

As proud as I am to be a Brasilian, I'm equally proud of my American heritage. My family has bloodlines tracing back to the independence of both of my homelands.

It's because it's the 4th of July as well as Rube Goldberg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_goldberg)'s birthday.

Happy 4th everyone!!! Be safe and have fun. So far ours is peaceful. Took the wife for some shopping and she took me out for lunch. Not a bad trade if I do say so myself. Guess I'll be watching the fireworks from the house as normal. Less crowded that way. ;)

I'm at a fourth of july party, the fireworks are really close, we can see the barge they launch the fireworks off of, it's apparently very loud. There's a guy who knows what linux is, but he primarily uses sun solaris. Kinda nice. :D
