Can't print to Brother MFC-5460CN

I've tried downloading the drivers and I think they're installing properly. But I still can't print to them. When I go to add a printer, it won't find the drivers I've downloaded. I download, the deb installer runs. Then nothing. No printer. I'm a total idiot. Just installed 10.04 today, so please be gentle with me.

Synaptic package manager in quick search type in :mfc 5460cn

Did you try simply installing the drivers through Synaptic?

(System > Administration > Synaptic, and then type Brother MFC-5460CN in the search box. Then install the printer using the "Printing" configuration tool under Administration.)
