Hi,

My ubuntu was working fine until I started to get:
Install Problem! The configuration defaults for GNOME Power Manager have not been installed correctly.

I get this at the log in screen and whenever I login it just takes me back to the login screen. I've tried removing & reinstalling the gnome power manager through safe mode but it doesn't make a difference. I've also dpkg'd.

Any help would be great

Thanks,

When you get to a login screen hit ctrl+alt+f1
then Login from the terminal and type
sudo init3

then type

startx

post back any errors here.

Hi,

Thanks, but in the end I just decided it would be simpler to reinstall Ubuntu since it was a relatively fresh install anyway. Everything seems to be working well again, and I'm hoping that I won't get that error again.

Thank You!
