View Full Version : [ubuntu] cant install ubuntu

i'v installed ubuntu 10.04 on 3 different desktops and 1 laptop. It has gone flawlessly on all 4. i a want to install it on my hp to dual boot(the others i just wiped the drives) but when i tell it to boot from the cd at first it looks like it might work, with the purple page, but after a few minutes, before i get to the install options i get an error message:frown:. plz help me some one my current operating systime is windows and i have an hp pavilion. with 2.5 gigs of ram and a descent graphics card.

When you get to the options page press F6 and choose nomodeset using your space bar to mark it.

the error message reads, busybox v1.13.3 built in shell
unable to finda a medium contaning a live file system
