I have just installed Ubuntu 10.04 on an Acer Extensia lap top. Thinking about re-installing for two reasons:
1. I can't get the wireless connection to work. It did on the earlier version -- 9.
2. it kept all my previous installs even though I only asked them to save one other OS that I need. The second problem I could live with, though I wouldn't mind having the space that is used on these systems I don't want.
So, should I go back to an earlier version of Ubuntu? If I do re-install can I use the "specify partitions manually" option and get rid of the extra OSs? I'm not exactly a beginner, but neither am I an "expert." Don't want to get into highly technical fixes.

PS I think it may be a compatibility issue with Acer, as I use 10.04 on a dell and don't have the wireless problem. Do I need a driver?
