"I'm currently working to port my Ulteo tests to a debian-base. We won't start from scratch for sure! Well, an Ubuntu base in fact! No need for now to describe all the reasons which convinced me to think about this switch (especially cos I *may* switch back to a Mandriva-base). The issue is that I'm not an expert with Ubuntu/Debian technologies, but I'm learning. I want to start upon Kubuntu ..." - Gael Duval, post on Ulteo forums (http://ulteo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=23)

YOu have to wonder if he's not a bit bitter.
"Ulteo" is awfully close to the Latin word "Ultor" which means "the Avenger." I actually had to go and see if Ulteo wasn't itself a related verb--it isn't (the verb is "ulciscor," to avenge), but still.

It has to be remembered there is a lot of social unrest due to ecomonic reforms in the France at the moment. In such a tense climate, how would you feel about if you were just fired?
The guy has shown a lot of spirit by getting back on his feet and starting a project that will benefit charitable causes if successful.
