Hi All,
I recently got a new PC and have installed ubuntu 10.04. On my old Pc I was running 9.04 (Mint actually, if it makes a difference)
Generally when I've upgraded in the past, I've just done a clean install and copied my files over. But this time when I copied my old .mozilla folder into my new home folder, I couldn't start firefox. I get an error message telling me Firefox is already running. I couldn't seem to copy my Thunderbird files either.
What's the easiest way to copy Firefox and Thunderbird data to a new machine? Am I missing an easy trick?
Many Thanks
F

If you are running Firefox 3.6.6, try to delete the file secmod.db from your profile. Some users reported they couldn't start Firefox after updating to 3.6.6 and that deleting that file fixed the problem.

If that is not the case, then see Fixing a problematic or corrupted profile (http://firefox-tutorials.blogspot.com/2010/05/fixing-problematic-or-corrupted-profile.html)
