View Full Version : [gnome] terminal background image with transparent masking

So here is a challenge, or maybe not. Does anyone know how one could configure the gnome terminal to accept a background image while still being able to adjust the opacity/tint of the masking. I have heard this is doable in konsole, but gimp automatically masks a transparent background in white. Thanks.

I also found this. This guy didn't get much farther.

"They all support utf-8 well but, no luck again. gnome-terminal can do the transparency, but it can only mask the background image...."
