I remember back in the Ubuntu 8.10 days I remember seeing a post-install script that would do setup of all the multimedia on your system so that your system could handle all file types. A lot of time has gone by since then and I am wondering what is available for post-install scripts lately? Are there any scripts for setting up servers or development machines? If so, how do you find the scripts? Why is there not a HOWTO section for doing this kind of thing?
