Question about drivers

I am in the process of installing ubuntu with this workaround:

what if any drivers will I need to install once ubuntu is installed? All of them just like when i installed windows 7? When I did a search for ATI drivers and installing them on linux it all sounded very complex anyone have any tips?

the all holy coolness that is ubuntu nicely pointed out that I was not using proprietary ATI drivers (but instead i was using open source ones) and asked if i would rather use proprietary ones.

=D I clicked activate and ubuntu basically did everythign for me
