Hello
What I was thinking about checking out was KDE or Kubuntu. I'm just curious about seeing what they are like. Just one or the other. From what I have read Kubuntu is Ubuntu's version of KDE? Being from the same maker if you will, perhaps I should check out Kubuntu, possibly less issues with Ubuntu?
What do you think about which one I should install and what about the way I'm installing them? Any do's or don'ts?
So far I have come across these two way to get either of the programs installed?
Steps for Installing "KDE desktop" in Ubuntu 10.04 :
step1: Open Synaptic Package Manager(System->Administration) and search for “kde desktop”.
*** Or installing Kubuntu
You can install kubuntu using the GUI tools, but the easiest way is to open a terminal window, and type in the following command:
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
