View Full Version : [SOLVED] what's the best way to go from 8.04 to 10.4???

I want to move form 8... to 10.4. How can I do it?

Im on my laptop using ubuntu and want to upgrade it to the last release... upgrade or install a new version of it.

Tnx! and Im not good at this intalling things... so be clear!

Check here (http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/upgrade) for the instructions. Because the upgrade from 8.04 to 10.04 is not officially supported yet (it will be when 10.04.1 comes out), you'll need to manually initiate the upgrade process.

I've read that for non experienced user, like me, it is good to wait for the 1004.1 version.

Do you know when will it come out? I'm looking forward it!

just download 10.04
http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download

burn a iso with brasero
(burn image)

install it , or check it out first...
it's a live cd.

edit: btw...in the link provided to you above .. you'll find examples... just click the "show me how."
