Hey everyone, I'm attempting to install Ubuntu Netbook remix (however I have tried others) on a 32 bit laptop but after it goes through that ubuntu loading thing, it goes blank after that and I've determined that it's not the cd and it's something to do with the hardware after looking at other posts with similar issues. Does anyone know if there is a way I can fix this? Please note that I do not have an operating system on this laptop, so if there is any way I can fix this, it would be great - thanks!

I'm not an expert on this, but did you try booting through a flash drive? I had a problem with my netbook booting from CD but then it went fine when I booted through my usb stick.

Not a solution I know, but it might help.

no, my laptop doesn't accept flash drives as a boot option.

You said you have no operating system on that laptop, so are you trying to use the Live CD, install it, or do you have it installed and just can't boot into it? If it's the last one I might be able to help.
