View Full Version : [ubuntu] Parallel install 10.04 - share swap file

got fed up with the 8.10->9.04->9.10->10.04 install I have on sda (too many flaky things) so I decided to put a new disk in, and install a fresh copy, to run alongside it.

It seems to me the installer picked up the existing swap file on sda, and was happy for me to allocate all of sdb to ext4 for the new install.

Is this correct ?

Presumably there is no harm in two installations of Ubuntu sharing a swap file ?

All seems to work OK to me ...
