I have always been a gnome user but recently I installed kubuntu desktop to try it out and get a free of something different. I still have my gnome but I want to uninstall kubuntu. How can I achieve this? and will it affect any documents I saved in kubuntu?

Here is a link make sure you choose your distro to remove kubuntu, when you documents if it is open office or abiword, or even a MS.doc they should still be there. All your doing is removing the desktop. If you have thunderbird installed you will probably have to reinstall it. I have linked you straight to the kubuntu removal so take a look through the site so you know whats up.

That is a excellent site for all kinds of information, it doesn't get much easier with changing desktops when you have the whole list. It is maintained by one of the UF mods.

Glad it worked out for you I have used the same thing to change desktops myself.:p
