View Full Version : Issues with Ubuntu Netbook 10.04 on USB flash drive

I'm new to ubuntu, and I got it mostly for my programming class in college.

Anyway, I got the Ubuntu Netbook 10.04 and installed the full version of it (NOT the Live USB) onto my 16GB flash drive, since I didn't need to have it on my netbook all the time.

However, because I installed it to the flash drive, GRUB won't allow me to boot anything unless I have the flash drive in my netbook. It says it failed to find something and just sits there.

How do I make it so that Windows 7 loads by default (preferably without GRUB), as well as make the USB flash drive bootable again?

If you need more information, let me know.

::EDIT::
To clarify, I want to:
1) be able to boot up windows 7 without having the flash drive plugged in

2) be able to just boot from the flash drive automatically when it's plugged in.
