New media player - xnoise

Came across this on gnomefiles.org. What do you guys think? I like it personally! It is based on gstreamer and is playlist based so even videos get added to playlist.

It works Great!

I'm fried; I finally found another media player I like, and got too excited, wasting energy that could be usually used in counting threads... maybe I'm over excitable, but I like it. Simple, easy, works! (Who cares about pretty?)

Ran onto this new to me media player.

Seems cool and very fast - and there is an Ubuntu PPA available.

To install the PPA do this:


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shkn/xnoise

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install xnoise xnoise-plugins-core

But the one thing that keeps me with Banshee is being able to use the scroll wheel on the status bar icon to change tracks. I love that and haven't seen any other player do that.

Xnoise has a lot less features and simpler looks but "just works".
