View Full Version : I'm addicted to greasemonkey scripts!

Also I finally caved in and added adblock onto firefox. I know a lot of web people make money off of ads on their sites, and if someone has adblock on then they don't make money, but I just got annoyed trying to read through some sites and they have misplaced ad space! Then there's grease monkey scripts which I only look for ones that deal with ads, especially those green/blue/purple text ones that if your cursor even hovers over them then that little menu with an ad pops up and you have to close it. Basically I've stripped the ads off of all the websites. I also like the ones that change the appearance and functionality of google...like getting rid of their sponsored links and what not. Although some sites look weird without their ads because they were conscious about their ad space and now there's just boxes there.

What are your favorite greasemonkey scripts/firefox add-ons and what do they do?

I like stumbleupon for finding random sites based on my interests. I also like gtranslate because I talk to alot of people in Central America and need a quick translation sometimes.

Aardvark is good for debugging tables in html/css

Ya know, I like using stumble upon from time to time, but I never signed up with them. I should really look into having a stumble upon extension as well.

I have more than 50 extensions installed (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collection/lovinglinux), so is very hard to pick one. Not considering the popular/essential ones like NoScript, Download Helper, Adblock Plus and those that I develop (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/4352153), I really like KDE Wallet Password Integration (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/49357/). I also like Simple Mail (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5593/), TagSieve (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/124046/) and many more. I guess I'm addicted too, but most of the extensions I use are very useful to me.

I stopped using Greasemonkey recently. I didn't have any scripts enabled for a long time. But I do have Stylish. I use the Combine Stop/Reload Buttons (http://userstyles.org/styles/10) script.
