Hey, I'm looking to buy a new mouse. I have had a number of bluetooth/wireless mice recently, but they all were bad, so now I want to buy a wired mouse. I'm not a gamer by any means, so it can be something pretty simple. I just would like a tilt-wheel if possible, and I would like forward/back buttons. I'd prefer none of it to be programmable, since I will be going back and forth between ubuntu and windows on multiple computers with the mouse. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Buy Logitech. They are durable and reliable. As for the exact model, I believe this is what you might like:

Logitech Corded Mouse M500 (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice_pointers/mice/devices/5743)

A simple laser or wheel mouse should be fine, even a Microsoft one.

Go for a Logitech model.

The Logitech MX 1000 works great with Linux if you're looking for a mouse which will work flawlessy! It's a bit old now, but still the best in my own opinion. Could be a good choice if you don't need to buy a new produced one, it also cuts down on the price tag. :)

Ooh, thanks. That looks perfect, and it's only $35! I'll just wait a few more hours to see if anybody else posts here and then order. What a beauty.

Or if you're interested in having cramps / repetitive strain injury you might want to consider the Ubuntu mouse.

I trust in Trust.

I've had good experience with Trust mice and speakers (my 12 EUR speakers lasted for more than 5 years, while oftenly using the maximum volume capicity, until they fell on the ground too hard).
Keyboards is different cake. The media buttons of my old cheap Trust keyboard got stuck sometimes. Logitech keyboards is the way to go for sure.
