Installation hanging at step 3 (parted server fail)

Samsung N150
Intel Atom
Netbook Remix 10.04 on flashdisk
250 GB HDD with WIN 7

After i cliclk forward at step 3( the keyboard choice) it hangs there until a message comes: Parted Server fail

What to do now? I tried to open gparted, and does not work either

Ok it looks like the problem is the memory stick that is not recognized properly by gparted, that crashes. I was told by a person that had the same problem that 10.10 has solved the problem. I will tell you tomorrow

I've had the same problem, ubuntu netbook remix 10.04 on a USB stick, step 3 nothing went on, GParted didn't work. Thought HDD controller kaput or something. Days later I tried it on another netbook and realized: It was the damn USB stick. I took another stick and now it's working.
