my gui on my desktop isn't working. i can boot up normal and login, but as soon as i do i get an orange screen and messages displaying:

/usr/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256

then another message displaying:

Nautilus could not create the following required folders:
/hone/kr8tion/Desktop,/home/kr8tion/.nautilus

I can still use the command prompt but don't have premissions to the home or any dir files and folders. what should i do? Could it be my passwords conflicting with each other?

I can't get permissions for the home directory. That thread didn't really help, but useful thanks. How would I go. About getting access for the home directory. Imma ask on the other thread as well since somebody had the same problem as me. It started when I did the lastest updates on Friday.
