Hi all,
I have been running Ubuntu for quite a while, but I'm always trying to avoid the really techy stuff and just enjoy the cool free software :)
A few weeks ago I upgraded my system to Ububtu version 10.04. Everything works fine except for one problem: I have a USB harddisk that contains a lot of my MP3 collection, movies etc. Ever since upgrading there seems to be a problem where the USB harddrive gets disconnected for a very short period and then connects again. This of course stops my music playback, which is why I notice it happening.
Usually I can just keep playing my music after it happens, but occasionally when two of these crashes happen right after the other the system connects the harddrive under a new folder name in the media folder (ending with a _, instead of the normal name).
Does anyone know what's going on here?
