anoying text popups

This is a rant and a question.
Over the years i have gotten used to using my mouse as my eyes scan a page on the web...but now when you pass over colored text a stupid bing window pops up or something else. very annoying.
does anybody else hate this????

in-line adverts are epicly distracting. >.<

Thanks to whoever suggested NoScript. Our local newspaper has an annoying add above the menu bar, so as you select items in the menu, if you accidentally move your mouse up too far this very annoying ad slides down and covers 50% of the browser window. The only way to get it off is to click Close on the bottom right.

I've about quit visiting the site, but given it's our only local paper it has some good info. So once more thanks! NoScript is installing now :)
