ok.. well both me and the fiancee are getting along great with Lucid, and now we're interested in fully customizing the environments.. i did a search of the forum for a few different keywords, but nothing is coming close to what we have in mind..

basically, i want to either remove, customize, change.. whatever.. i can to the top and bottoms of the screen... (eg where the Applications, Places, System bar is and the "taskbar" is located) i'd appreciate screenies if anyone has custom layouts, and maybe i can get some ideas, but for now.. ill dig up what i can and link to it...

ask questions, and this is going to go for a while until i can find a way to make these bars entirely unique... for me and her, respectively at least :)

Good to hear you're enjoying Lucid, I'll show you my set up.

Now that bar at the top in the second picture, automatically hides to keep my desktop a bit cleaner when it's not in use.

So ask away if you have any questions about my set up. Another good thing to do would be browse through the screenshots thread in the Community Cafe as many people show off their custom set ups. As you've probably noticed this is a fairly tight community, and posters are pretty good for telling you what the customizations are and how to do them.

That said, also feel free to ask me if you see things there and don't know how to do them. I'll do my best to help you out there.
