Hello,

I know my general way around C (and know how to use google) and my question is if there was a C library that allows access to the apple backlight on the back of the screen on MacBooks.

My idea is that I want to code a program that makes that apple logo on the back blink when I have a new message in Pidgin or an email if I'm idle from my laptop.

is this doable? or is this just an Apple user's dream?

The source of light for the apple logo is the laptop screen's backlight. It is not separately programmable.

Ah, that's too bad.

Would have been awesome if it was programmable though.
