Hello guys, I just installed Ubuntu a couple of days ago. I am pretty much a newbie when it comes to Linux. I know some basic terminology, but thats about it. I have installed old versions of Redhat and Suse many years ago, but became frustrated with the inability to find hardware drivers on both distros and lost interest. Recently I thought I'd try Ubuntu. So far I love it. Lots of new stuff to learn, and just reading some stuff on this site has already helped me with a couple of issues like PPTP VPN setup just to throw one out. Hope this is the right area for intro threads btw.. :)

Welcome! I am also a newbie after spending over a year with Ubuntu and frequent this forum for advice and answers. I must say I couldn't thank those guys enough that help me through some obstacles. You will love it here.

Do you feel lost, confused, angry, frustrated, belittled?
Yeah I did to. :D
You'll pick up on everything pretty quickly, and if you don't you can always ask questions.
Enjoy your stay, the water's just fine!
