20s waiting before "ubuntu logo loading"

Hi,
when I turn on my laptop, it starts booting. After that, I have black screen for 20s (with blinking line in upper left corner). After 20s, ubuntu logo and login appears. During that 20s the led indicator of disc activity is lighting.

Where's the problem?

it is normal , update your grub if you are in legacy.

Do you have a floppy drive?

I had a similar problem and my BIOS had the floppy enabled, but I don't have a drive. Ubuntu was searching for a floppy drive. I disabled the floppy subsystem in BIOS and and that fixed the problem.

change splash and desktop picture, you are not in root is'nt it ?
is it now the same 20 seconds ?
default option usually works fine.
