When I installed Wubi on My toshiba satellite l505d, I accidentally chose kubuntu instead of ubuntu. I used a 30GB Install. When I uninstalled kubuntu, it took up the same amount i used to install.

Before Kubuntu Install - 160GB
After Install - 130GB
After Uninstall - 130GB

So I installed Ubuntu with 2.6.35 kernel & wubi and I get no desktop effects and i dont get my 30GB of Space back from my kubuntu uninstall. how do I fix the desktop effects on 2.6.35 kernel and the removal of the 30GB Kubuntu. I can't seem to find it anywhere and I'm afraid to uninstall wubi again. ]:-({|=

How do I fix these two problems? I'm confused even though I'm an amateur at linux... ](*,)](*,)](*,)

The Specs are in my Sig.

Thanks for your help. :KS

I believe after you uninstalled ... that did not delete the file. You have to find the file that was your 30G Ubuntu Partition and delete it.

When you use Windows Control panel to add/remove software ... it doesn't delete the files from your computer. The file remains.
