When I first started with Ubuntu I tried to get a hang of installing it by watching videos on Youtube. Since then they have degraded by the fact that many seem to ramble and cover irrelevant information and confuse the viewer. Another thing I dislike is added music. I want the videos to be short and to the point. I have created several and more are on there way with very simple annotations instructed the user simply and plainly.

I just started using Youtube's annotation system I would like to know what you guys think of that any suggestions. Um More are coming what do you think I should provide tutorials for I have lots of time to do this this summer.

I watch video tutorials all the time. Really helped me out in the beginning. What I find more annoying than crappy music, and rambling is people that don't talk in the video at all. It's hard to read what they type. Especially if they don't zoom in good enough, or too fast, or the quality of the recording is low resolution.

I am sorry if the resolution is low, but I have a computer that takes a while rendering 720p. Not to mention upload it to youtube. whole process takes way to long. I can annotate if for you and I am zooming in but I would like some more ideas for tutorials. I mean one of the next ones is how to change the compiz effects.

Sorry to be a downer, but honestly, the only good sources of Ubuntu info newbs have are the users gotbletu and NixiePixel on youtube. Other random youtubers either have one video and never post others, or have terribly horrible videos on the simplest things ever that even newbs know at first hand (i.e. "Moving a Window." or something of the matter).

Well Hope it helps that I have posted 15 videos now. And More Are On There Way. Yes Your Right That is another problem that I am trying to fix with my videos. I am trying to keep up a consistent stream of videos. My only problem is I am having problems coming up with new thing to demonstrate. I just posted a new video on choosing a dock for ubuntu.

Changes include:

Switch To Vimeo (Better respected by the communities I guess)

Videos created at 800x480 6MBPS Bitrate

Voice replacing the anotations
