Should be a simple question for all the brilliant Ubuntu family:
How big (in GB) is the usual install of ver. 10.04. I have about 65GB available to do a dual boot with Win XP, but I don't want to crowd them. I did it once before, but messed up the partioning and then my nVidia card died an ugly death. I've reinstalled Win XP and would hate to mess up again and have to go through it all over again.
I'd appreciate any feedback on anybody's experience with this.

First of all, if you are talking about the current version it is 10.04 not as you posted.

I installed Ubuntu, including adding in software etc, and it takes up about 3 GB. Don't forget though that if you download stuff, creates files etc that can quickly change.

I suggest you leave about 15-20 GB for Ubuntu.
