Normally I don't post on these forums, but this is an exception.

I downloaded Mupen64plus 1.99.3 from http://code.google.com/p/mupen64plus/ ,and extracted the tar.gz to the home folder then ran sudo ./install.sh, but nothing happened. I ran install.sh from the file manager, again, nothing happened. I added http://ppa.launchpad.net/nikil.mehta/emulators/ubuntu to the repository, installed from the package manager, finished installing, but nothing showed up in the menu panel. I downgraded to 1.5 in the official repository, installed it, ran from the gnome panel and again, nothing happened. I attempted to run mupen64plus from the terminal, but it just shows up the terminal for a millisecond before closing. The annoying thing is, this problem only happens to mupen64plus.

"Screw that" I thought, and downloaded project64, extracted it to home/project64, ran the .exe but NOTHING HAPPENED! It's like god is trying to stop me from using n64 emulators! Is there anyone out there that knows what's going on?

Edit: I'm using linux mint 9, if that helps.
