is anyone else annoyed by this? I guess it was inevitable. People stopped watching commercials on TV since DVR came out, so they had to move the commercials to the Internet.

The worst is the pop-up ads that show up OVER the video that I want to watch. At least when the video ad comes on before the video I can then watch the video in peace. No, I have to be subjected to an ad asking me to "Friend BP on YouTube (for updates about the oil spill)". No thanks!

I hate those! They also have an ad that is just audio when a video finishes, I hate it.

Why don't you already have Adblock Plus? This is a good reason to get it :)

you can use these..

Adblock Plus: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/
Greasemonkey: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748/
Youtube Enhancer for Greasemonkey: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33042

Note: after getting adblock plus you should right click the icon Preferences>Filters>Add filter subscription and add all the subscriptions available for a stronger less ad filled Internet experience.

I don't mind b/c it's all part of bringing YouTube to me. Look, if YouTube isn't profitable, it won't be available. If they want to toss some ads up, I'm OK with that. Better that than no YouTube at all. A hint...hit the little 'x' to the right of the ad. It'll close it.

I had the same problem yesterday and I finally found the solution!!!

1) On Firefox, go to options> add-ons > Get add-ons and search for adblock plus

2) Once Adblock plus is installed, right click on the Adblock plus logo and click on preferences

3) A new Window will open. Click on Filters> Add filter subscription> From the list select "Easy list English" and click on add subscription.

4) Click reload

5) Enjoy your add-free youtube experience!!!):P
