I am going back from the world of Linux back to Windows, for reasons I won't mention because I know brainless slugs will reply "NUH-UH, U SHUD STAYEE WIF LUNIX." I honestly don't really care, I just want to switch back.

Anyway, as of now, there is no OS installed on my machine. I am using a Mint Live CD to write this.

I burned a .iso of Windows XP, and whenever I try to run it on my machine, it takes awhile for anything to come up, and I get a BSOD-esque screen saying something along the lines of "Windows has stopped to prevent harms to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this screen, restart your computer" Then it goes on to blah blah blah and stuff. I have tried this multiple times, on 2 different blank DVDs, and I always get this result. The ISO I used is fine-I tried it in a virtual box in order to prove it was okay, and it worked perfectly.

Can anyone be of help? And please don't bring up any legalities, or what I first mentioned in this post-I know exactly what my actions are.

Try erasing it with DBAN Download (http://www.dban.org/download)

That always works for me.

By the way we don't talk like this NUH-UH, U SHUD STAYEE WIF LUNIX :p

Haha, I know how smart the Linux community is-it's just that, some people on here never cease to amaze me with how many things they pull out of their *** at one time. Not to point elbows though. lol.

Also, I don't need to erase anything. I cleaned the hard drive with GParted on this Mint Live CD.
