My 85 year old uncle does the same thing...

Heh in the middle of year #5 in EQ he decided to join me. Now... by this time, I had put hundreds of hours into the game, my cleric was PIMPED out, high end raiding guild, etc... He shows up, dedicates himself 24/7 to EQ, within two months he was just so much more uber then me, it was painful really, took my job as MH eventally... that hurt...

Old people kick ***, they have all sorts of pimptastic skillz, like my uncle for example is a chess grandmaster, after we left the former USSR he sort of lost his intrest in chess and picked up video games. Belive me, 80 years of high competition chess matches gave him a leg up in stratagy.
