I've googled this problem. I installed Enlightment from source. After going through the installation process, my desktop is a blank screen with a mouse. The question is, how do I remove Enlightment?

Go to the original desktop from the login screen and look in synaptic for it.

I couldn't find it in Synaptic.

The history might show it, I realize you installed from source here. It may be in status-installed-(local obsolete), as far as the main package but there are dependencies. Really if you have the regular desktop working I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt the included packages will ever cause you any problems, and it is also pretty small in size.

Somebody else might have better information for you.

I'm just testing out different Window Managers. Figured I would give Enlightenment a try.

Try lxde it is a light desktop that is good for lower spec setups and is kind of cool. xubuntu can be installed as well.

If you go to the psychocats website it will show you how to remove and install the full Ubuntu, Xubuntu, and Kde desktops.
