View Full Version : [ubuntu] Webgui dependency problem

Installing webgui halted because libpoe-component-client-http-perl wouldn't install. I managed to install this manually and my system says I have the latest version.

Now I get an error that says,"webgui: Depends: libpoe-component-client-http-perl (>= 0.88) but 0.64-2 is to be installed" and this may be a result of my downloading the .deb file from what I thought was the current mirror and failing to install it with dpkg.

I'm not clear about how to correct the problem. Can I clear the status file somehow? is there an automatic command for that? This is the first time in couple of years I felt like was back in "rpm hell". I've totally confused myself and would like a couple of suggestions on fixing this.

It looks like webgui would simply install from apt or synaptic if I get over this version problem.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Mike
