I have a laptop with no disk drive and also i have no net... but i do have alotta software ....is it possible to "unconvert" iso files from ubuntu disks or do a flash drive install with a disk to flash drive??

i've done something similar to this with a pc w/ no hdd. i used usb startup disk creator (on a system with ubuntu installed already) to make a live 'cd' install to a flash drive. this does work pretty well for using ubuntu and you can tell it to remember personal settings, etc in the extra flash drive space.
there might be better options so i'd look into it more, but i know this will work :)

K3b will let you rip a CD and save the ISO.
