This morning I attempted to 'clean' up some old files/programmes from my dual mounted (Vista/10.04) laptop. All seemed ok until I tried to run Vista and I got the following:

/windows/system32/winload.exe
status Oxc000000F
missing or corrupt

I then tried to reboot into Ubuntu but it keeps trying to load windows.

It looks like I have somehow lost my grub, so now I have lost Ubuntu and Vista.
I tried my Vista Start Up disk and at the command prompt I entered:
Bootrec.ext /fixboot
Bootrec.exe /fixmbr
on restart it went back to the 'missing or corrupt' information
Is there some way I get get back to normal?

Thanks

Was Windows running when you installed Ubuntu?
