Ubuntu On Sony Laptop

I want to install Ubuntu on my Sony laptop 64 bit
I do not know if I can do it or not
I contacted with Sony support and they said that we do not support Linux on Sony laptop but we have heard that some people install Linux.
I concern about Drivers and if it fit with my Laptop

Do you have a livecd? If so try it out and see if it works alright. Which Sony is it?
