I had 8.04 installed using LVM on RAID after upgrading to 10.4
When I reboot the boot fails because Grub cannot find device
/dev/mapper/remus-root
It appears that grub is not starting LVM and/or Raid so the device is not found.
Using a Live CD I was able to confirm that if the raid devices
/dev/md0
/dev/md1
Are created and the Volume Groups restored the information is accessible. The devices in /dev/mapper exist.
The question is now how to fix it.
