Just installed the Ubuntu control center from Web Upd8 . It's a little bigger than I would like but it works and it is more organized than the current setup.

Thought I would give it a try for a week. It takes less space than the current control center , but I think it should be smaller.

UCC is there by default, it is just hidden. Type alacarte in the terminal, and enable Ubuntu control Center

I had that ucc enabled before , this is just a different layout . I don't plan to keep it because it depends on two
other programs I don't need . It is an alpha version based on the Mandriva control center.
