So I bought a new netbook (asus eee pc 1005peb and I also have an external cd reader) to use for work.
I installed the ubuntu netbook edition onto it.
I have some linux experience, but am definitely not an expert. I felt confident enough in my ability to install and set up ubuntu for the word processing and email access I will need this computer for.
My job requires a full disk encryption. My previous conversations with the help desk led me to believe that they would handle this step of the computer set up for me. But after meeting with them today this appears to not be the case.
I thought I could figure this out on my own but I seem to be in over my head.
encrypted LVM was recommended to me by my work
Could anyone explain how I can do this in very basic instructions?
