I though this was the coolest thing in the world!

Of course the other end is that Ubuntu crashed, or at least a sysadmin made a mistake with permissions.

Yeah probably a sysadmin mistake. They left on the server signatures which is a no-no.

Looking at signatures I hae found Comcast to use RHEL5 x64

Don't leave out Google, I think it's about 60% of the worlds servers, but this is a percentage hard to quantify.

The fastest super computers run a UNIX or Linux variant, and about 70% of them run this typo of OS.
