I was having issues with wireless connecting to a server, so i kept getting this one issue, and decided to let me friend take a look at the netbook through ssh openssh-server. The same error popped up. From there he wanted me to uninstall java-package... and got the error again...

The following is said all throughout the different terminal statements.

Setting up sun-j2sdk1.6 (1.6.0+update20) ...
update-alternativs: error: alternative path /usr/lib/j2sdk1.6-sun/jre/plugin/i286/ns4/libjavaplugin.so doesnt exist.
dpkg: error processing sun-j2sdk1.6 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
sun-j2sdk1.6
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)I am running on a MSI U130 netbook, and using UBUNTU 10.04 remix netbook.

Any help on solving this issue so that i can install stuff without getting this error all the time?

Let me know if there is anything else you would need to know about my system...... It is a pain in the butt to have this error, but i am sure that one of you will know what to do to fix it. I have faith in you all, afterall... Linux is far superior to Microsoft.

I have the same problem. It's not the first time this guy (sun-j2sdk1.6) appears and messes the things.

Any clue?
