Hello I have recently built a new AMD PC. I have been running Linux Mint and Ubuntu on my old pc just fine. But I cannot install Ubuntu nor Mint on my new PC. The problem is when I insert the CD and I boot it, splash screen comes up with the little orbs loading. Once that is done my monitor becomes idle and I cannot get it active again. (The blue light turns orange). How do I fix this? My Computer specs are below.

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 (3.4 Ghz)
GPU: HIS ATI Redeon HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 memory
Mobo:Gigabyte GA-MA785GPMT-UD2H
HDD:Western digital 500gb Black cav.
CD/DVD: HP dvd1260

I have tried both 32-bit and 64-bit but no success. How do I fix this problem? Thanks for all your help!

Before starting the installation go to the mode option, and select the Safe Graphics Mode. Then start the installation.
It could be helpful for you.
