View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to make a sidebar like this?

Hi
Sorry for the noobie question,but how can i put this sidebar in ubuntu 10.4?(CPU and MEMORY usage etc...)
and please give me a setting which is dark colour with white font:p
I'm new to linux.

The one with the system information on the right? That is call Conky (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=281865&highlight=conky). There is plenty of threads and information out there, but that is a good start for information. It allows many configurations, and it has to be downloaded.

Extract the archive and double-click on the ConkyWizard file to run.

In the Ubuntu Software Center you will find “Conky all” You can install it from there.

The Conky Wizard is brilliant, really easy to use and working flawlessly so far :D
