Reinstalling 10.04 Netbook Remix

I clean installed Ubuntu netbook remix a week ago and installed virtualbox but virtualbox is acting funny so i uninstall virtualbox and when i reinstall it the setting are still there and i get the same problem. So I want to reinstall 10.04 so i dowloaded it and made a startup usb drive but when i restart my netbook to boot from usb nothing happens and my netbook just start the 10.04 that i had before. Is there something wrong with the bootloader? How can I fix to reinstall 10.04?

If you can boot your old Ubuntu installation then Ctrl+H and you will see hidden folders.One of them is .virtualbox folder.Delete it and after that reinstall virtual box.
