I currently have integrated graphics on my system but I am going to gettign a new graphics card to use. Click here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125250&cm_re=gigabyte_radeon-_-14-125-250-_-Product) to see it. I have a dual boot system with Windows Vista and Ubuntu 10.04. How would I install it? I know how I would plug it in but setting it up is another issue. I want it to work on both Vista and Ubuntu. Another question is what I should do about my current integrated graphics (Do I disable it or something like that?)

Here is my system's specs: HP Pavilion a6554f

I would really suggest getting an Nvidia graphics card instead of Ati, Nvidia's restricted drivers cover a broader range of graphics cards than Ati. No matter what video card you purchase, all you have to do is install the card in the slot, and reboot into Ubuntu, it will be auto detected, and if it uses restricted drivers, it should tell you that drivers are available. For Windows, I'm sure you know the drill. :)

Thanks. Very helpful. :) For Ubuntu, it should auto detect then I'm good to go? Is it that simple? Seems too simple. As for Windows, I think I should boot into Vista then install the drivers right?
